After hearing that the NES had already sold out, lots of these would-be buyers took to Twitter to share how heartbroken they were over the fact that they wouldn’t be reliving the glory days of gaming just yet.
Some of them took it in humorous stride, and others seemed legitimately upset that they’ll have to wait an undisclosed amount of time for the system to go on sale again. What a time indeed. Although the Classic might be sold out for now, it certainly won’t be forever. Nintendo is known for creating scarcity when it first releases consoles – the same happened with the Wii at launch, and many amiibo releases have seen the same treatment as well.
